- Meet Our Team -
EA to Ian Gershman, COO
Why I do this work: I do this work because I care about people. Being an EA allows me to make a difference in ways that go beyond tasks and it’s about helping others breathe a little easier, knowing they have someone they can rely on. I also find purpose in supporting leaders and teams so they can focus on what matters most.
What I bring professionally: I bring structure, adaptability, and a calm, positive mindset. The skills and knowledge I gained in my professional career has taught me how to stay organized, anticipate needs, and communicate with empathy. I’m proactive and thoughtful, as much as I want, I always look for better ways to help things flow more smoothly. And I think that real support comes not only from efficiency but from sincerity and heart.
How I show up at Ava: At Ava, I show up with kindness, empathy, and gratitude. I support the COO and our team with consistency, reliability, and genuine care. I want people to feel that they can depend on me, not just to get things done, but to feel encouraged and seen. I try to create an environment where people feel cared for and valued. I believe in kindness, teamwork, and making even small moments meaningful because those are often what people remember most.
The emotional core: For me, being an EA is also about connection. It’s about showing up with patience, compassion, and understanding in every interaction. I find meaning in knowing that I can make someone’s day lighter or give them a sense of calm when things get overwhelming. That quiet difference the one that makes people feel supported and valued—is what drives me every day. I also believe in caring for myself, because being at my best allows me to show up fully for the people I care about, both at work and at home.
What grounds me: I’m grounded by my family—my parents, siblings, husband, and most of all, my child. Their happiness and joy in life are what fill my heart the most.
