About Me

I am a salon owner turned mental health professional in training, currently pursuing my graduate degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Along with owning a salon, I have worked for many years in behavioral health, substance use treatment, and with unhoused populations. My focus is trauma and mental health, supported by both professional training and lived experience.

Why I Do This Work

I believe recovery and healing are possible with the right support. This work is personal and meaningful to me, and I am committed to advocacy, authenticity, and meeting people where they are.

What I Bring Professionally

I bring frontline behavioral health experience, substance use treatment knowledge, and strong client advocacy. My approach is trauma-informed, direct, and relational, shaped by both field work, lived experiences, and graduate training.

How I Show Up at Ava

I show up grounded, collaborative, and transparent. I value teamwork, accountability, and creating safe, respectful care environments.

The Emotional Core

My commitment comes from lived experience, recovery, and a belief that honest connection supports real change.

What Grounds Me

Cooking for my family, time with my kids, date night with my amazingly supportive wife, Natasha, and my naughty dog Sulley always close by is my version of balance and how I recharge.
