Why I do this work: 

Through my years of working with insurance, I have learned that this can very easily be an added stressor to an already difficult time. I do this work to make this part of the process as clear and easy as possible. The feeling of reward for making this happen is irreplaceable. 

What I bring professionally: 

Professionally, I bring sensitivity, empathy, and compassion for a very difficult topic to discuss with patients. Money is not an easy part of this process, so understanding and patience goes a long way in helping patients as best as possible with the insurance side of things. 

How I show up at Ava: 

I show up ready to help, listen, and meet the financial/insurance needs of our patients with a smile on my face (because a smile can be heard on the other side of the phone). I truly love what I do and work as hard as possible to ensure our patients receive the best financial help they possibly can. 

The emotional core: 

I have been part of the journey while loved ones have struggled with this. I have seen firsthand how difficult this time can be, but I have also seen how rewarding it is when it can be transformed into a passion for helping others. I find purpose in serving others, driven by personal experiences supporting loved ones through addiction and mental health challenges that fuel my passion for compassionate, client-centered care.

What grounds me: 

Being active and being outdoors. For me that includes fishing or playing sports like softball, pickleball, and golf. Though, I truly enjoy anything that allows me to move my body. I also treasure spending time with my family and loved ones, including our furry friends!
