Clinical Director
Why I Do This Work My own recovery journey has taught me that healing starts when we feel safe enough to be seen. I know what it’s like to look like you’re prospering on the outside while quietly unraveling on the inside, and I do this work to help others experience what I once needed most: someone calm, kind, and steady who could meet me compassionately without judgment.
What I Bring Professionally With over 15 years in behavioral health, I’ve led teams across outpatient, residential, wilderness, and crisis care settings—specializing in co-occurring treatment, trauma-informed systems, and building clinical cultures from the ground up. My focus is on blending clinical excellence with operational integrity, ensuring every element of care aligns with our values. I’ve trained hundreds of professionals and believe that relational leadership—modeled more on Mr. Fred Rogers than corporate playbooks—is what builds resilient, compassionate teams.
How I Show Up at Ava At Ava Health, I lead our clinical model, conduct staff training, and support cultural development, including rituals like our Pendant Program. I believe healing happens in the details—in how we greet each other, in the systems we design, and in the values we live daily. I work shoulder-to-shoulder with our team to create a space where people feel grounded, empowered, and seen.
The Emotional Core I’ve helped people get sober while struggling with substance use myself—so I don’t judge anyone for where they’re at. I just want others to feel safe enough to be honest with themselves, and to know that I am here if they need someone to patiently listen without judgement.
What Grounds Me Outside of work, I enjoy rock climbing, playing music, swimming in local lakes or rivers, reading a good book, hiking with my dogs, and spending time with my lovely family in Colorado.
