Why I’m Here: I truly love helping people and mental heath is very important to me!
Why I do this work: I want to help as many people as possible become the amazing people they are meant to be and help show them so.
What I bring professionally: I started out volunteering when I was old enough to walk, helping my Great Aunt who was a County Commissioner, my Aunt who worked for a radio station and my Mom who was a Teacher for 35 years. I’ve always been one to lend a hand and I love to learn. I have my Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice and my Master’s in Forensic Psychology. To this day, I still try and learn as much as possible.
How I show up at Ava: Ready to rock my day and get a lot done!
The emotional core: I’ve had mental health struggles and been in some pretty dark places, so helping others gives me a purpose in life that I need for my own positive mental health.
What grounds me: Art, Family and Friends. I have a huge family with 21 nieces and nephews that I love spending time with. I also enjoy cross stitch, knitting, puzzles, origami and sudoku to name a few.
